L’impact du genre dans le choix de l’objet de représentation: La représentation de la danse chez les enfants de 11 ans
Résumé
This study investigates the free expression of a subject with respect to an object represented. The choices of the subject express the relationship that he maintains with this referent. Twenty girls and twenty boys, eleven years old, from the same school, participated in a nondirective interview on dance. Discursive analysis, based on linguistic manifestations of the referent "dance", shows that boys focus more on different styles whereas girls mainly evoke participating in the activity. The discussion concerns the importance of considering this relationship with the world in methods attempting to access social representations.
